GRINTECH supports charity run at Otto Schott High School

Energy and commitment were in full swing in July at Otto Schott Gymnasium in Jena – in the truest sense of the word. During a charity run, students collected money for the school’s own support association to help financially disadvantaged families and children. Each class sought out a company in advance that was willing to donate a certain amount of money for each lap run. We, GRINTECH GmbH, supported class 6/3 in this project – now class 7/3 in the new school year.

The students ran an impressive total of 233 laps. GRINTECH donated €5 per lap, which added up to a total of €1,165. The money will now go to the Otto Schott Gymnasium’s support association, which is particularly committed to ensuring that children from disadvantaged families can take part in school trips and special school projects.

“As a regional company, it is very important to us to support young people and promote equal opportunities in education,” emphasizes Anke Kräplin, Managing Director of GRINTECH GmbH. “It’s great to see how much motivation and perseverance the class showed in working toward their common goal and running so many laps.”

We at GRINTECH are delighted to have been able to contribute to this successful project and wish class 7/3 and, of course, all the other students at Otto-Schott-Gymnasium a successful start to the new school year and lots of fun in PE!
